Position Overview
We seek a dynamic and experienced Travel Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess at least two years of professional experience in a similar role within the travel and tourism industry. The primary responsibility will be to assist clients in planning, organising, and executing travel itineraries, providing expert guidance, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultation and Itinerary Planning: Assist clients in planning and customising travel itineraries, recommending destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities based on individual preferences and needs.
- Booking and Reservations: Make reservations for flights, accommodations, car rentals, and other travel-related services while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally, both in person and via communication channels (phone, email, or in-person).
- Knowledge and Expertise: Stay updated with industry trends, travel regulations, and destination information to offer well-informed advice to clients.
- Knowledge of Viator, TripAdvisor, Safari Booking and other OTA platforms.
- Minimal sales experience especially in regional and international travel trade fairs
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth and coordinated client travel experience.
Required Skill & Experience
- At least two years of experience in a similar position within the travel and tourism industry.
- Minimum Diploma certificate in Tourism Management or a related field.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- A passion for travel with in-depth knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
